Weekend Recap: Snow, Snow, and More Snow

This past weekend was COLD. And it snowed. A LOT. I shared my Friday night adventures with you already ( read about it here ). So I won't get into it but here's a much better, natural light selfie of me wearing one of my new soft and comfy Costco sweater finds....which was PERFECT for Valentine's Day don't ya think? Sweater from Costco , lipstick by L'oreal   Between Friday and Sunday my kids basically lived in the snow. I believe it was on Saturday morning when they decided to clear the snow off the trampoline. Except instead of snow it was really thick ice. They were very impressed and tried to save it...I won't even ask what the heck they're learning in school (facepalm). Then they decided to try to make a skating rink on our back patio. Sounds like a great idea in theory, but, our patio is sloped and I knew it wasn't going to work. HOWEVER they were working so well together I didn't have the heart to tell them their dreams of a backyard skating r

Weight Watchers Progress (Week 4)

I haven’t blogged in two whole days! It wouldn’t be so bad except I CHALLENGED MYSELF TO BLOG FOR 365 DAYS STRAIGHT. 🤦‍♀️

Oh well, I suck at the follow-through, but if I hadn’t challenged myself, I literally wouldn’t be blogging at all, so I guess I can’t be too hard on myself! Also, my son is at his second tutoring session for the week, and I have some time to kill, so blogging it is!

This week I’ve gotten back on track with Weight Watchers. My friend and I joined about four weeks ago, and I’ve lost about 5.6 pounds so far (as of January 30). It’s probably the most amount of weight I’ve ever lost in such a short time. I’m thrilled with my progress so far. My goal is to shed 25 pounds this year. Normally I would have said oh I want to lose 25 pounds in 4 months but I know that I don't' lose weight that fast. And, I'm most likely to keep it off if it comes off slow and steady. So my ultimate goal for 2020 is to lose 25 pounds and maintain the weight loss for the year (and beyond). If I can shed about 15 pounds by May, that would be ideal (I’m in a wedding and want to feel awesome in my dress), but again, no pressure, I'll take what I can get!

One thing I’ve learned on this one-thousandth round of Operation Lose Weight for Good...is that Weight Watchers is probably the most balanced approach to healthy eating I’ve ever tried. And tracking everything I eat really does help keep me accountable every day. From portion control to treats and BLTs when I’m cooking (bites licks and tastes), tracking my food in the app is really helping to keep me focused on my goal.

I'm not a Weight Watchers ambassador and I get nothing for sharing my opinions about the program. But if you're interested in joining, you can click on this special link (it's my refer a friend link) and if you sign up, we both get one free month of the online program. Have questions? Send me a message in the comments below and we can chat :)

What's your tried and true method for keeping the pounds off and sticking to a healthy lifestyle? I could use all the help I can get so keep the advice coming in the comments below!
