WW and Trying New Things: Breakfast Cookies

Since joining WW I've tried to go out of my comfort zone a little, forcing myself to try new things. One of those was trying new recipes. I have to say, this recipe from WW was really easy to make, was super fast in the oven, and tasted great. And as someone who hates eating breakfast, this was a fast and easy way to get some nutrients into my body early in the day (it paired really well with my coffee!). Bonus: it was gluten and dairy-free AND my kids loved it (probably because of the chocolate chips). Peanut Butter, Banana, and Chocolate Chip Breakfast Cookies 2-3 Personal Points per serving  Serves: 16 Serving size: 1 cookie Ingredients Banana(s):   3 small, ripe Uncooked old fashioned oats: 1.5 cups Powdered peanut butter: 1⁄3 cup Table salt: 1⁄4 tsp   Mini semisweet chocolate chips: 1⁄3 cup Instructions Preheat the oven to 350°F.  Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Weight Watchers Progress (Week 4)

I haven’t blogged in two whole days! It wouldn’t be so bad except I CHALLENGED MYSELF TO BLOG FOR 365 DAYS STRAIGHT. 🤦‍♀️

Oh well, I suck at the follow-through, but if I hadn’t challenged myself, I literally wouldn’t be blogging at all, so I guess I can’t be too hard on myself! Also, my son is at his second tutoring session for the week, and I have some time to kill, so blogging it is!

This week I’ve gotten back on track with Weight Watchers. My friend and I joined about four weeks ago, and I’ve lost about 5.6 pounds so far (as of January 30). It’s probably the most amount of weight I’ve ever lost in such a short time. I’m thrilled with my progress so far. My goal is to shed 25 pounds this year. Normally I would have said oh I want to lose 25 pounds in 4 months but I know that I don't' lose weight that fast. And, I'm most likely to keep it off if it comes off slow and steady. So my ultimate goal for 2020 is to lose 25 pounds and maintain the weight loss for the year (and beyond). If I can shed about 15 pounds by May, that would be ideal (I’m in a wedding and want to feel awesome in my dress), but again, no pressure, I'll take what I can get!

One thing I’ve learned on this one-thousandth round of Operation Lose Weight for Good...is that Weight Watchers is probably the most balanced approach to healthy eating I’ve ever tried. And tracking everything I eat really does help keep me accountable every day. From portion control to treats and BLTs when I’m cooking (bites licks and tastes), tracking my food in the app is really helping to keep me focused on my goal.

I'm not a Weight Watchers ambassador and I get nothing for sharing my opinions about the program. But if you're interested in joining, you can click on this special link (it's my refer a friend link) and if you sign up, we both get one free month of the online program. Have questions? Send me a message in the comments below and we can chat :)

What's your tried and true method for keeping the pounds off and sticking to a healthy lifestyle? I could use all the help I can get so keep the advice coming in the comments below!
