The First Time is Always the Hardest

September 5: A few hours ago, anxious as heck, I sat in the parking lot at my local gym, waiting. On a whim I signed up for a membership last week with some friends and tonight was my first time visiting said gym. We were taking a 30 minute #HIIT class and while I was excited to try it, I was crippled with fear and anxiety. I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been. My belly gets in the way of everything. I’m not bendy in any way. Like at all! And, I have hip issues. I hate being watched.  My anxiety made me get to the gym 40 minutes early. Scared I’d be late. Scared to show up after the class started. Everyone looking at me. So I sat in the car waiting. Fretting. Beating myself up for letting myself “go” all these years. If I had stayed in shape, I wouldn’t be scared I’d throw up in front of everyone. I fretted until the very last minute before the class started. But knowing I had a friend waiting and counting on me made me move my butt out of that car. Inside the gym, I swipe my pass and I can

Friday Five's - It's Not to Early for Christmas Right?!

I'm the worst at keeping a schedule in my person life. During the work day...I am on point with my schedule and to-do lists. I've always said that, and although I'm aware, I just can't seem to get my shit together on this dang blog! Or my workouts. Or meal planning/WW (Weight Watchers).

I'm posting a Friday Five's article on Saturday morning. This is just how I roll...get used to it friends!

Back to our scheduled programming.....

Is it just me or did the stores kind of skip over Halloween and move straight to Christmas? I swear I say this every year. But this year, maybe because we're still being cautious and not going out as much because of this pandemic, I feel like the stores are all about Christmas decor and holiday gift guides. Not that I mind, I'm not a huge Halloween fan anyway.

This past week was so busy, and we had lots to celebrate. Here's a highlight.

The kids and I took in the beautiful sights of a nearby walking trail with my parents.

My daughter celebrated her First Holy Communion. It was supposed to be in the Spring but COVID-19 had other plans. We didn't get to give her the party we had hoped, but my parents surprised her with a cake after we got home from church. Overall she was super happy and I think all she wanted was to wear a poofy dress anyway!

We clean up well!

Soooo I did a thing. I started curating Christmas decor and ornaments already. While I complain that the stores have started Christmas marketing too early...I caved. Drank the Kool Aid. Bought a few Christmas ornaments for myself and my brother's family.

Speaking of Christmas, I also got really really excited about this gift wrap organizer I found on Amazon.ca - no I'm not an affiliate and no I will not make money if you buy it. I am just really really excited to have found an organizer at a very reasonable price point! I get it tomorrow...should I do an unboxing? lol

It's called: ZOBER Premium Wrap Organizer and it was only $26.99 Canadian...and I get it tomorrow thanks to Amazon Prime! Woohoo
Curly haired girls and ladies in the house...this brush is amazing for detangling after a shower. It doesn't matter how much conditioner I use in my daughter's hair, it is always a birds nest. This brush is a life saver. And rumour has it, Dollarama sells them now.

So there you have it, my Friday Fave's and a taste of what's to come for me for the upcoming Christmas season....lot's of shopping...obviously.

How was your week? Any plans for the weekend?

Join me and a bunch of other awesome bloggers for this Friday Fave's blog hop.
