WW and Trying New Things: Breakfast Cookies

Since joining WW I've tried to go out of my comfort zone a little, forcing myself to try new things. One of those was trying new recipes. I have to say, this recipe from WW was really easy to make, was super fast in the oven, and tasted great. And as someone who hates eating breakfast, this was a fast and easy way to get some nutrients into my body early in the day (it paired really well with my coffee!). Bonus: it was gluten and dairy-free AND my kids loved it (probably because of the chocolate chips). Peanut Butter, Banana, and Chocolate Chip Breakfast Cookies 2-3 Personal Points per serving  Serves: 16 Serving size: 1 cookie Ingredients Banana(s):   3 small, ripe Uncooked old fashioned oats: 1.5 cups Powdered peanut butter: 1⁄3 cup Table salt: 1⁄4 tsp   Mini semisweet chocolate chips: 1⁄3 cup Instructions Preheat the oven to 350°F.  Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Weekend Vibes: Saturday Walks with My Crew

This weekend started like every other weekend around here. My husband had to work Saturday morning, we had no groceries, no clean underwear, and there was the all too familiar stench of boy farts and sweat coming from my son's room. Don't I just paint the prettiest of pictures?

I can't say I tackled the day's chores right away. Or the state of my son's room. But what I can tell you, is that I drank 3 cups of coffee, and ignored the kids for about 2 hours while I lost myself in my blog before I decided to get moving on my very glamorous Saturday morning to-do list.

I'm sure you all have a similar list: strip the beds/wash the sheets, do 1 million loads of laundry, fantasize about living on the beach in Malibu with a gorgeous man servant who scrubs the toilets so you don't have to. Then pull yourself together, swear under your breath that you live with a bunch of effing wild animals...and promptly put off the rest of the house cleaning and toilet bowl cleaning 'till Sunday.

After I got that out of the way, I tricked my kids into coming out for a hike with me by telling them we were going to Costco and I'd buy them some ice cream. I softened the blow by getting them some hot chocolate before thrusting them out into the cold fall air for our brisk walk. Luckily they were so distracted by the hot chocolate they didn't complain too much about the walk. Overall we walked for over an hour, and they didn't really start complaining that their legs were going to fall off until the last 15 minutes. Overall it was a success and I already told them to rest up 'cause we're doing it again tomorrow! hahahahaha

Some highlights from our walk today:
