Took the kids to Canada’s Wonderland last weekend on a whim, and took advantage of our season passes and the 19-degree fall weather. The day started off rocky with my pre-teen son being in a moooooood. But by the end, everyone pulled through and we finished the day strong with a few rides and funnel cakes! We're excited to go back and experience Halloween Haunt in a few weeks! This coming week will be busy so I've pre-tracked some meals in my WW app to keep me on track. A few things I prepped for easy grab-and-go meals: I made some WW Vegetable Soup. Baked some portobello mushrooms for a meatless main dish. Made some hard-boiled eggs. Cooked some quinoa and chopped veggies to make some quick salads. Washed and chopped lettuce, cucumbers and peppers for easy meals and snacks. What's on your to-do list this week? On our favourite ride!
Christmas is literally just around the corner, and with the current COVID-19 restrictions and lockdown situations happening over here in Ontario, it's starting to be increasingly hard to finish up the Christmas shopping list. In my search for last minute stocking stuffer and gift ideas, I stumbled on these Canadian made Etsy Shops offering next day shipping (score!).
Check out these three amazing last minute Canadian Etsy finds:
I'm noticing a bit of a theme with my Christmas gift ideas...can you tell I'm a little anxious about COVID right now?? Well...these pretty little masks by Etsy shop Colour Pop TO are so fricken cute...I guess if we have to be in lock down we may as well be sporting a face mask in style right? Check them out here.
Mala necklace by Etsy shop owner Ava Crystal. Not only is it beautiful and has calming/healing properties, but it dispatches in just one day, is Canadian owned (score!), and the shop is offering free shipping for orders in Canada and the US. Check it out here.
It wouldn't be a COVID-Christmas without a stocking full with hand sanitizer! I don't know if you share my frustration with hand sanitizer gels (they're goopy, horrible, leak out of the bottle, and I just really hate them), so I generally prefer a spray if I can find one. Love the look and convenience of this antibacterial hand sanitizer bundle by Jiro Soap in Vancouver, British Columbia. What's also pretty cool? You get to customize the order by picking the scent and colour of each bottle. Check it out here.
