CurrentlyJen's Friday Favourites - February 25, 2023

I'm a day late for Friday Favourites. Which I feel like is basically my whole life these days...perpetually late for the important stuff (thank you anxiety), and early for the shit that doesn't matter.  Well, let's get right into it. My week was BUSY AF but I did manage to squeeze in a few moments that brought me joy!  Here's my take on Friday Faves...things that made me happy this week: It was Family Day here on Monday in Ontario (stat holiday). We spent the weekend filled with family gatherings, friend visits, dinners, movies, etc. So by Monday, we were all tapped out. The day was a much-needed pyjama and chill day for all of us. Those days are my favourite. Saturday night fun with the hubby I had to go to the office on Tuesday for my in-person work day. It was nice to see everyone but I was tired by the end. I don't think I'll ever get used to so much socializing did I do it five days a week pre-pandemic?? I'll never know! In-office obligatory

CurrentlyJen's Friday Favourites - February 17, 2023

Eeeek it's a Friday Faves day...I've missed these. Here's what I've been up to and what I'm obsessing over this week.

My husband bought me a Kindle a few weeks ago (an early Valentine's Day gift) and I've been obsessed with downloading new books with Kindle Unlimited. I stumbled on two books by Jessica Simpson that were so good, I love when celebrities offer a rare glimpse into their world.

Take the Lead: An Essay by Jessica Simpson

The other night I made a quick sheet pan-style dinner: parmesan-crusted chicken, roasted potatoes and green beans. It was Weight Watchers friendly and kid approved. That's a win-win in my books!

Got my hair done on Friday. It was nice to get some bounce back with some layers...up next: cover those roots!

I made this really good Weight Watchers friendly creamy salad dressing. One serving (1 tablespoon) is only 1 point and it was so easy to make. I put all the ingredients into a small mason jar and shook it all up to mix it. The leftover dressing kept in the fridge for a few days. I bet it would make a great marinade too.

If you want the recipe, leave a comment and I'll post it next week!

At the beginning of the year I signed up for the 2023 Goodreads reading challenge. I committed myself to 24 books this year, and I've read 4 so far.

If you have any recommendations on books to add to my list, leave them in the comments.

It was a great week, can't wait to see what the weekend with the family brings!

Linking up for Friday Favorites!
